Congratulations to the CLA High School Envirothon Team, who participated in the state competition. Our CLA scholars placed 2nd place in Wildlife and 8th place in Aquatics. Great job to our scholars and to Mr. Harrington and Mrs. Pitts!





Staff Spotlight - Mrs. Russell
If you've ever walked through our doors and felt instantly at home, you can thank Mrs. Russell, our Front Office Manager extraordinaire! Known for her bubbly personality and infectious smile, Mrs. Russell greets everyone by name and makes it her mission to brighten your day. We're so lucky to have her as a member of our CLA team!

Scholar Spotlight - Taylor
Taylor is a Junior at CLA and she is defining her (+). She is a member of the Pathways Academy, currently taking 9 college credits at Rogue Community College where she is studying to become an Athletic Trainer. Taylor is a leader within her church community as well as being actively involved in 4H. She did competitive dance for eight years and still holds a passion for dance and physical fitness.

Scholar Spotlight - Willow
"We are excited to celebrate Willow as our Scholar of the Month! Willow is amazing at working with others. She always has a big smile and is willing to help anyone in need. She always shares, listens carefully, takes turns and helps keep our room sparkling. Willow shows us that working together makes learning fun! CLA Families and community members are invited to STEAM Night on Thursday, April 17th, from 5-6:30pm at our K8 Campus. There will be food trucks, a petting zoo, STEAM Stations, classroom project exhibits, science fair exhibits, and more!


Staff Spotlight - Mr. Crowe
Mr. Crowe is the current Senior Advisor and has been teaching Social Sciences at CLA for the past 7 years. He is well-known by scholars for his passionate and engaging lectures about history and his signature mustache. There is never a dull moment in Mr. Crowe's classes! Thank you for guiding the Class of 2025 through their Senior Year, Mr. Crowe! Senior Career Experience Presentation here we come!


Families and Community Members are invited to engage in STEAM Activities and check out the Science Fair Projects. Science Fair Awards will be announced at STEAM Night!


Scholar Spotlight - Luke
Luke is a Junior at CLA and he is defining his (+). He is a member of the Pathways Academy and has successfully completed 12 credits at Rogue Community College this year alone! Currently, Luke is working for an AA Oregon Transfer degree, and is a studious scholar both at CLA and RCC. In addition to his academic endeavors, Luke is also a talented artist. He plays the piano like Chopin and sketches like Van Gogh. You can hear him play at CLA's upcoming Honors Night and view some of his art at the Best of the Best Art Show at Southern Oregon University (both in May). Not to mention, Luke is just an all-around nice guy.

CLA HS College & Career Readiness: Industry Tour @ Imani
CLA scholars toured Imani School of Cosmetology, experiencing hair, nails, and facials. Huge shoutout to our CLA alumni Isabelle and Hailey at Imani, who are finishing up their programs! This amazing opportunity is part of our CLA Pathways Academy.



Staff Spotlight - Mrs. Schnur
Mrs. Schnur has been a valued member of the Crater Lake Academy team for the past seven years, dedicating the majority of her time as a passionate and caring middle school teacher. Throughout her time at CLA, she has consistently shown a deep commitment to fostering meaningful connections with scholars and supporting their growth. We are fortunate to have Mrs. Schnur’s enthusiasm and dedication as part of our school community.


K8 Campus Scholar Enrichment - MS Chess
Our Middle School Chess club is ON FIRE with 22 sharp scholars battling it out! The class is filled with intense matches and tournament-style showdowns. It's fun to see the focus and competition!
