Congratulations to Mrs. B's Kindergarten class for receiving the K5 Spirit Award for the month of January! These young learners are growing leaps and bounds every single day, and their infectious energy is such a joy to observe!

Our CLA scholars learned that the RCC program could be an option for their future and learned about great ways to take care of their dental needs. Scholar Spotlight - Alondra G.
Alondra is actively working toward earning a private pilot’s license, a goal that speaks to both discipline and determination. With dreams of attending flight school and eventually pursuing a career as an airline pilot, she is already taking meaningful steps toward that future. A fun fact many may not know: Alondra is representing Crater Lake Academy as a Pear Blossom Princess, showing that she balances hard work with unique and enriching experiences outside of academics.
When asked what advice she would give to younger scholars, Alondra’s message is clear and purposeful: take advantage of the Pathways Academy and start working toward your career early. Her journey is a great example of how setting goals, using available opportunities, and staying focused can turn dreams into achievable plans.

We are thrilled to shine this month's Staff Spotlight on Mr. Harrington, the heart and soul of music at Crater Lake Academy. Mr. Harrington leads the CLA music experience for scholars Kindergarten through 12th grade, and his impact can be felt in every note, rhythm, and smile. Whether through weekly music classes, engaging electives, or after school lessons, he brings music to life in ways that inspire, energize, and connect with scholars across all ages. His infectious energy sparks curiosity and creativity, opening up parts of the brain scholars might not otherwise access. Music becomes more than sound in his classroom. It becomes a tool for expression, confidence, focus, and joy. Scholars feel seen, challenged, and encouraged to take risks, all while discovering their own potential through music. Thank you, Mr. Harrington, for the passion you bring to CLA each day and for the meaningful connections you build with our scholars. Your work unlocks creativity, nurtures talent, and reminds us all of the power music has to shape hearts and minds. We are so grateful to have you as part of our CLA team

Are you ready to jumpstart your future? Join us for the Pathways Academy Info Night on Thursday, February 5th at 6pm. We will cover how you can earn your high school diploma while simultaneously pursuing a degree and CTE program through our amazing partners like Rogue Community College, Klamath Community College, Imani School of Cosmetology and Southern Oregon University.

We had an incredible turnout with over 140 participants this year! It was wonderful to see our community gliding together and making memories. We’re already counting down the days until we can do it again next year.
